February 2017 Newsletter

Presidents Report

Hi All.

The end of January and all of February have been busy months for some of us 4WDing. Another reccy weekend at Waimamaku saw us check out some new tracks, both for Tuff trucks and Shinnies. With the Safari now full at 60 trucks its looking like being a great weekend of 4WDing. Hopefully as many of you as possible can make it up for the Safari, as we will need plenty of Marshalls. The tracks will hopefully be Arrowed or Sign posted , so even if you don’t feel confident or know the track very well you will still be useful as a marshal on the day.

Some of us got to go down to Motu Safari on the 3rd and 6th of Feb Patch and Carol, Sue, Chris and Leanne, and Chrissy and I. A great few days of very different terrain from up North. Lots of river bed driving and massive pine forests, with big open and steep Stations inbetween. A truley awesome experience.

Arapahoe Show was on Saturday 11 th February with a good club turnout. 9 trucks all up 5 of which were Suzuki’s. Well done Marie on being the only Female driver and for coming in a close second to a very Veteran trials truck and driver. Also good to have a lot of club members there, even if they didnt have their truck in as if it was too Shinny!!!!! A good fun day not seriously competing, but just out to have a good time. Well done Garry and helpers for setting up a good course, that anyone could participate in.

Well lots coming up in March with another reccy and then the Safari on the 18th and 19th March. But after that we will need some more just for fun runs.

Still need more Newsletter, Website Photos and blurbs about runs and events.

Maybe there should be points for writing about a run ?????

Yours in 4WDing
